Background[]

Originally from the town of Meita, Gwen Azureleaf, formally Gwen Embergaze found herself raised in a small orphanage run by a small church of Sarenrae, told that she was left alone at the footsteps as a new-born. Despite the love and acceptance by her carers, she resented her time there, due to her rebellious nature and the scorn from fellow children, often seeing herself above. Increasingly she found herself drawn to the crime within the town, where her skills including her increasingly powerful darkvision proved useful, including a bit of uncanny luck.

After seeing multiple heists and plans failed from what she saw as poor planning, skill or ability, she sought to become a meticulous planner, attempting to learn as much as possible from overs and prepare as much as possible. She resents having to improvise on the spot and begins to flounder when she can't plan her next action.

When the events of the rebellion occurred, she believed the best way to survive was to escape the town before anything foul happened, she joined a group of travellers who were mostly followers of Desna, she travelled the wilds with them, using her skills to aid their travels. During this time, she grew a love for the freedom and travel and was convinced that despite her heritage she had been blessed by Desna in some fashion, who she now worships, although giving her blessings too to Sarenrae, realizing now how fortunate she was to be raised with them.

Gwen in Human form

Gwen is able to physically adjust her appearance, herself in a Humanoid guise

Seeing the events of the war and how destructive The Emporer's reign was, and seeing that with her own infernal nature she could do terrible things if in any power over others, she has sworn an Oath of Humility, only to possess what she can carry on her back. During her travels she managed to further her talents, finding an affinity with runic magic to give her a magical edge while focusing on her physical talents, now she seeks further fortune, travel and adventure while pushing her limits. When not in an adventure she stays in The Red District at one of the Inns, making sure the place is protected.

After her start as an adventurer, she has gone thick into many adventures, and testing herself against the Arena, publicly she is known to a teacher at the Adventurer's guild and the Tidal Empire's Academy, primarily moving and living between the two. Her adventures have tested her, and has been corrupted willingly to be more selfish and hedonistic, embracing her more darker Tiefling side, she worships The Beast Mistress, Desna and Calistra, however her primary faith is in the first. She however still enjoys helping others and will preferably help the side of Good, as long as it does not cross her interests.

Adventures[]

Babel's Painted Dungeon[]

On her first 'adventure', she was asked to do some pest control with some giant rats, not being afraid of the dark and used to dingy places, she felt would take this job with ease. With her keen eyes she was able to spot the hidden trap door within the basement, only while pondering did she notice the painting nearby containing a Huldra whispering to her regarding strange creatures and the promise of treasure, she needed little more encouragement than that!

It was to her surprise when entering she found an ornate entranceway covered with warnings, she was able to translate the major messages in Celestial, Infernal and Sylvan, realizing that this place was much more that it seems and as promised by the painting. Entering in, she wonders at the ancient architecture, feeling like she is the first person here for many, many years.

She noticed the Huldra continuing to follow and advise her, realizing quickly she only knows what the ancient dungeon was like. Gwen made sure to avoid the strange shadows as much as possible, being able to see them easily in the distance, dispatching the ones on their own when possible, she grew frustrated going through a strange maze that confused even the Huldra, managing to get out with a lucky guess, she said a quiet prayer to Desna in thanks.

During the delve, she comes across a strange pool, at the bottom of which appeared to be a multitude of wonderful treasures gleaming and inviting. Knowing her swimming skills are top-notch, and not seeing any threat, she sneaks up ready to dive in... before checking if the water was dangerous. She touches the edge of the water with the tip of the bow... only realizing the image flickering and becoming an illusion, she cries in frustration quietly.

Eventually, a little bruised from when a shadow got a lucky hit earlier, she manages to find the storeroom of the dungeon, with the Huldra advising to keep some items behind for other adventurers. Eyeing the pile, she spots a beautiful set of gear that would fit her perfectly, taking a fine chain shirt and a composite longbow of fine quality, she leaves the rest for anyone else fortunate to make it here, quickly making her mistake, and making sure there won't be any giant rats troubling the innkeeper, for now at least!

The Rage of Kanoloa[]

After finding herself barely victorious defeating a multitude of deadly summoned creatures in the Grand Babel Arena with a group of fellow adventurers and challengers, she found herself bruised but thankfully burned from a fire breathing dinosaur, she heard the call of the deadly attack on Lolotai from the horde fire elementals are worse, finding more information, she found that groups were organising to protect the natives and defeat the attacking hordes

Managing to team up with a group and finding one of the Mages offering Teleportation to the Island, warned to beware as they could find themselves within the middle of battle, rubbing a coin nervously as blessings and protections were cast upon them, she found herself warped over many miles away in an instant.

Worried she was under attack already from fire, she realized the heat of the tropical islands were welcoming her, surrounded by various palms and jungle. She realized the teleportation was not accurate, and she found herself in the tropical jungle alone The peace did not last long as a massive plume of smoke formed nearby as a wave of fire approached the group, dancing forms of demons and serpent-like forms twisted and writhed within the inferno approaching.

Realizing she had little chance here, she ran with a new supernatural speed, jumping and twisting among the wildlife as she ran towards what she hoped towards the main town, praying she was not too far away. In the distance she found a clearing of the jungle, she sprinted towards it as flames nipped at her back, thankful for her natural resistance to fire. Running up a fallen tree she sprinted before finally jumping off… right into the air over a quite steep cliff.

She panicked for a moment before she instinctively opened her newly formed wings as glided down, the panic died down little as she ‘flew’ for the first time in her life, struggling to stay aloft as she found herself heading towards the town with the simple huts seeing the battle from above, as dozens of heroes helped fight off the attackers.

Carotidcutter

Gwen's Legendary Weapon, Carotidcutter

From above she saw different areas targeted, spotting an area where many people had fallen, with Elementals being driven off, she willed herself towards them before landing nearby. Looking for survivors, she activated her two flask shards to heal and stabilize the fighters close to death, she helped the rest back to safety, often interrupted by the stray elementals, relying on her Runes rather than her Guile to take out such creatures as they tried to burn the healer’s huts.

As she rescued a native woman, she screamed out to Gwen, thinking first it was due to her unnatural form, she realized she was crying for help, that her child was still there, pointing towards the town now a mass of smoke and flames. Glancing over and seeing no one else in sight, she nodded towards the mother, asking for the child’s name. With the name in tow, she ran into the blaze, shouting the name of the kid, shielding herself from the flames that pierced through her infernal hide, before finally hearing a cry pierce from the roars of the blaze. Spotting the child trapped inside a house quickly becoming ash, she sprinted inside as she picked up the child and holding tight, she turned around to find the door frame collapsing behind her. She looked around in despair, when a sudden pain hit her as the flames *burned* her, somehow her enhanced form could not take the heat anymore, becoming vulnerable to the blaze and her mythical strength draining from her. Not having much more time, she tucked the child in her bag and activated her new Earth Rune, quickly retreating through the ground, rising outside into flames that burned far stronger than anything before.

With her strength gone, she tucked into what little cover she could to get back, keeping to what little shadows there were as she jumped between, before finally she managed to get herself back, exhausted and broken. She handed the child to her mother before nearly collapsing, realizing she could little more today the state her body was in. Sighing in defeat, she kept to the back lines the rest of the day, distracting enemies that slipped past and giving aid to others.

Striking the Behemoth[]

Phase 1[]

It had been some time before Gwen had arrived back to her home town of Meita, the new lands open and exciting, while Meita had brought back darker memories from her past, however again she felt back at home, despite its flaws.

She had cracked the code of the message granted to her, not only did she feel it would be an excellent opportunity to further help Etera, especially it was the weak that were most harmed by the onslaughts of the raiders, but also further assist in her new role to the newly formed Aquatic Nation she now served, some of the greatest champions of the world would be assisting again, including many of the leaders of the newly sponsored nations, she had a duty to make sure to find out as much of any potential allies, and enemies.

Gwen had recently trained herself the talent to mould her flesh to disguise herself, she decided to use that skill to make herself appear as an Undine rather than her Tiefling form to not intimidate the newly formed forces, her ashen skin turned to saturated blue and her horns shrunk down, and to match her aquatically adapted gear, striding the grounds as a billowing trail of mist lept from her cloak behind her.

In the early stages, Gwen continued to help train the new soldiers there like she had done previously with the Adventurer’s Guild, as part of her worship to the Kind Stranger she made sure to assist with the least experienced, younger and older of the new forces in attendance. She made sure to train the soldiers in better stances and to better defend themselves, and to help train those best able to fight in a finessable style. Along with this, she stood as a training opponent for many of the soldiers, being able to dodge most attacks and heal any that got through. Lastly, she helped with Stealth and Scout training for the more unscrupulous types, as scouting ahead and gathering information would be vital for any further efforts to succeed without disaster.

Out of training and into the evening, she made sure to assist with more mundane tasks and to give a hand to those who needed it, an extra coin, a paid-for meal, a round of drinks to help not only with the soldiers, but also the common folk now finding their city to be a staging ground of the attack, knowing Meita, she knew that getting on their good side was the best idea, and despite the increased presence of adventurers and soldiers, it would be all too easy for the criminal side of Meita to exploit the situation.

As the Delegate moved through the camp, she made sure to make them aware of her skills, recently she had grown deeply knowledgeable in arcane matters including those of magical beasts. She would attempt to learn of any weaknesses the Behemoth itself could possibly have, so as to stop or disable the creature so prolonged assault could be achievable. For the Raiders, she suggested luring the Raiders into traps and ambushing them as they targeted what appeared to be easy targets, to only be overwhelmed by quick strikes that would leave enemies defenceless.

Phase 2[]

Gwen found herself surprised at the massive surge of Raiders, along with their terrible mutations, turning into more and more abominations before her eyes. Unfortunately, she was more an Assasin, being able to take out the more powerful foes, and not able to dispatch the smaller forces quickly. She was thankful for the training she was able to give to her fellow soldiers at being able to withstand the assault, determined she continued the fight, focusing on the most powerful enemies and allow the soldiers to take the smaller foes, and if needed, try and disable the warriors rather than take them down to not overwhelm allied forces.

Seeing what would be called the Skyterror itself gave herself pause, glad she was not above when it first appeared, noticing quickly magic being sucked up around the beast, realising this was the most terrible threat, she made sure when she could to study the creature and see if it had any weaknesses at all, at the same time she hoped the advanced technical goggles she had would help pinpoint her strikes. If the beast flew low and nearby, she hoped to jump to impossible heights and attack with a Dolphin Blow to it's belly.

Phase 4[]

Gwen was able to continue her research in the powerful Runes along the Behemoth's body, even to her knowledge they were ancient, powerful and poorly understood. However she recognised they were what prevented teleportation around the creature, and what likely allowed the creature to be teleported from a vast distance away.

After providing the research to the attackers, she joined them in battle against the Behemoth's defenders. She continued her tactics of striking against powerful leaders and monsters, leaping above the armies to strike with her clawed gauntlets, often invisible due to the mythic power of her Cloak granting a powerful invisibility, or surrounding herself with mist and darkness as she lept from one target to the next. Creatures above were not immune, leaping against them similar to how she planned to strike the Skyterror, but was unable to attack fully, she made sure each mutated horror was not a threat.

How I Spent My Timeskip - Hunt for a Nexus Crystal[]

Gwen was always interested in the ocean, naturally a good swimmer and raised in the coastal town of Meita, she had offered her skills to the fledgling Tidal Empire and to her surprise she was accepted as their new Spymaster, rather than commanding a team herself, she did things alone. The Empire itself had only just been founded, so she started her research and investigations the leadership of the nation, wishing to know more about the inner circle, and also to make sure they would not be threats in the future.

Her investigation early on had found that one of the more powerful leaders was much more than she publicly revealed herself as. Intrigued by her, she revealed her suspicions and found them correct, she found her charm and charisma to be immense, and completely overwhelmed by her. When she offered to help guide and teach her Gwen found it impossible to not accept. She found herself into a Demiplane where there were pleasures and horrors best left unsaid, and she was taught quite well as she found her faith and desires reforged anew, drawing out Gwen's more dark desires into the forefront over several months she made the Demiplane her home, her body providing many gifts in reward for the training received and her body altered to be more beastlike, and to able to much more easily adapt to the Undersea life.

After returning back, she wished to journey across the other Planes, especially how connected the Tidal Empire was to them, and how many potential threats and powers came from them, during her research, she had discovered the existence of very rare crystals, known as Nexus Crystals that can form very rarely when Planar Chaos meets one of Law. It would be near impossible to find one in the wild, so she decided to find one already known, and to steal it for herself.

She was fortunate to discover what might matched one of these Crystals, originally owned by a Horizon Walker in the distant past known as Fiona Bayle, she had been described to carry a Pearl that she had discovered in her adventures that matched the description of an elusive Nexus Crystal, unfortunately she met a deadly fate as she fell in battle against a deadly Kraken Dragon known as Grymbunoig and her possessions were taking. Deciding this was her best bet, she made sure sure she had further equipment commissioned to aid her.

The Dragon's Lair was in the dark ocean, a place where ships avoided in an attempt to avoid the Monster, Gwen believed that the Dragon did not know the power of the Crystal, as Artifacts can be difficult to identify, and that it would be in a prominent but less guarded part of a potential hoard. Searching the depths for weeks, she used her new talents, including being invisible at will to search for the lair, until she had managed to discover it. Unfortunately for her, the Dragon had grown paranoid over the hundreds of years and able to sustain itself, it would not leave it's lair, or it would guard the entrance with some of its servants.

Losing Patience, Gwen came up with a plan to drift in while invisible in the most cover of darkness, but in a near still speed as she went to hoard, and would use the Crystal to escape. Her plan nearly worked perfectly, not daring to take anything else to risk her plan, she found that part of the Hoard she disturbed was a Hoard Golem, a mass of coins and treasure animated to stop her. She managed to quickly destroy the Golem, but the disturbance of battle had alerted the Dragon, and it's wrath was approaching.

Gwen panicking as she quickly hid, looked at the hoard for any sign of the Crystal, glimmering under the gloom of the deep she spotted what she hoped to be the Artifact, unfortunately with an angry Dragon between her and it. Unfortunately for Gwen, the Dragon began to sing a Siren like song, she could not resist, captivated as she swam towards the maw of the beast, ready to eat her whole. Just about she was to be dinner, she managed to resist, using the powers of her Ring she managed to escape the grip of it's Maw and dodge a further blow, reaching the Crystal in time and activating it. She found herself out of the frying pan and into the Plane of Fire, where thankfully the power of the Crystal prevented another potencial death.

Over the coming weeks and months she made full use of the Crystal, making full use of it's powers so they became familiar with her and she became an expert with its powers before she headed back to the Tidal Empire where she taught at the Academia Aquatica for the rest of the much more peaceful two years.

Sunken Island Country Exploration Part 2, The Second One[]

While researching the Sunken Continent, Gwen had the fortune of being able to study the Ancient Library, and also meet up with the other researchers that had been transported inside.

From her research and from the information shared, she would know that this servant of Death had snuck into the ancient continent as was a large part of why the Continent sunk down, she suspected that it wasn’t the only reason, but this servant of Death would be the greatest threat.

Gwen would attempt to team up again with any of the other researchers if possible, and try and gather more researchers from the Adventurer’s guild of Babel where she was an A ranked member of the Guild, and also from fellow teachers and students at the Academia Aquatica where she is a frequent teacher and researcher as well. The Tidal Empire had a close link with the Outer Planes and Outsiders were a common sight in the Underwater city, she would speak to these outsiders if possible to find out more about this servant

She would focus much of her efforts into discovering who this servant of Death was, their origins, their powers, she understood that this being would be very ancient and likely stuck in the sunken Continent so would focus on the most ancient histories and sources.

While doing this, she would prepare for an expedition into Abaddon itself, using her Nexus Crystal to transport herself and anyone capable and protecting them from the Plane’s harsh effects, she hopes she would be able to locate some hidden mention of this servant or the sunken continent, especially among areas where Death ruled, and Planar Dragons roamed, aiming to be as careful and stealthy as possible as she travelled the cursed land. If possible she would search other planes, especially if they had Knowledge they can share or if I discover the Servent of Death visited there as well.

Part 2: Sunken Island Country Raid, Initial Warfare[]

Gwen had studied extensively the various types of enemies her and her allies would be facing, doing her best to learn their hierarchies, their faith and their most important and critical leaders. She did this first at a distance, but now she would be watching and acting much more closer. Scouting outside the Barrier, she looked to see if there were any weaknesses, and any movement outside, eventually spotting troops going outward from the barrier. She feared what their plans may be, and if they planed to ambush allies outside, thinking they were safe.

The Tiefling had for a while lived under the ocean, it was a second nature of her to glide silently among the beautiful Coral Forests outside of the Sunken Island, the barrier holding her back, and she had many tools at her disposal to remain unseen... Darkness, Invisibility, and now the ability to bind the forgotten shadows of long lost and forgotten Deities into an Akashic robe of Darkness... The Robe of the Forgotten Deity, and be able to Bind it, turning her into a creature of Incorporeal shadow... Gliding at the edges, hiding in objects, in walls, in floors, and thanks to her Headband of Sealed Thoughts, only powerful magic or an impossibly keen eye could spot her now.

Like a living darkness, she scouted and found her prey among the scaly creatures, though she would not attack straight away. She would follow them, observe, and listen, learning as much as she can, gathering as much useful information on her targets and their forces, and most importantly, learning as much as possible at the being they worshiped, this servant of the late Horseman of Death. Using magic she would quickly copy information down, and steal anything useful that she felt wasn't a trap or some curse

Eventually however, the Leaders, Officers and their Guardians would outlive their usefulness, once wrung dry of valuable information, she would strike when they were alone. If she felt she could not somehow strike them down in one blow with a deadly Vital Strike, she struck with her offhand Gauntlet and Phaselock them, so there was certainly no escape as she quickly ripped them apart with a deadly combination of her Runic Strike and multiple attacks. Her God Hand made sure those died turned to a fine dust that quickly dispersed into the currents, making Resurrecting these targets a far more expensive and challenging proposal, those that she felt had much more valuable when captured, she made sure to strike with Non-Lethal blows and knocked them out, although she would do this with allied support. In either case, their items were also quickly gathered, becoming part of Gwen's and her allies' quickly growing collection and another expense her enemies likely couldn't afford. Once her prey were finished, she would quickly retreat, once more becoming a shadow in the dark abyss, ready for her next target.

Fey Craftsmanship[]

Gwen looked on what she had soon discovered was a Gold Sink while she had prepared defences for the object and the various crafters and assistance, watching at first the golden bowl begin to grow and morph as the various materials added to it.

At first she was disappointed… she had hoped for something a little more ‘practical’ to be made, and this contest was not to form practical tool, but something shiny. However she did see the humor… and see the contest as something fun to do, with potential rewards for herself

The young Tiefling had decided to join the court of the Monsoons due to her affinity with water, though she did not know too much about the two different Fey Courts and didn’t feel loyal to either, and she doubted they cared much for her either… which is why she felt comfortable to add a little more spice to the competition

While the Tiefling was an excellent warrior, she was an expert Spy and Thief if needed, and she felt the later skills could be invaluable, why not steal some of the items from the Court of the Cruel Suns, not only would the value of the Cruel Sun’s Gold Sink be less… it would add to the value of her Court’s one as well!

She made full use of her various items and abilities… her natural invisibility, darkness, incorperality from her Robe of the Forgotten Deity, the ability to change her appearance to pinch anything loosely guarded. She made sure to be especially careful… She didn’t want to get caught, though she sometimes left ‘clues’ indicating that other fey were pinching the items, to cause as much mischief as possible, something that Fey seem to appreciate quite highly, and also quite practical in this case. If she ever did get spotted, she would quickly teleport away, or jump miles in a single leap to escape.

She imagined that when the Gold Sinks are displayed to each other, the reaction from the Court of the Cruel Suns to be quite hilarious when they see some of the hard worked items and crafts to be actually a part of the Monsoon’s part.

Meita Conflict[]

Gwen Azureleaf pored over reports as she read them quickly, written on special paper which could be used under the ocean. Since the storm was raised in the seas above, the currents certainly felt stronger even ‘indoors’ in the stone and coral constructions of the Palace in Tidal, her brow furrowed even as a small school of brightly coloured fish swam around her as she looked over her documents. She was often quite diligent availing to take care of the Tidal Empire and avail forfend it, she, however, ascertained to persistently canvass other events around the world, especially around her hometown of Meita and now the outlandish conflict the town is now under. She had also heard of the Matriarch known as Matron, and the lady intrigued her; she hoped to someday visit The Velvet Garden and meet the enigmatic figure, and wanted to aid her as well… she was glad that her town was claimed by this figure, and making it into something truly special.

After ascertaining that a Necromancer was endeavouring to assault the town, she kept cool under a wave of brewing anger and wanted to find some ways to avail the town against the campaign, while keeping to her obligations as a Spymaster and defender of Tidal. It did not take long to find that there was a sizable group of blessed defenders along with the towns inhabitants, and hopefully other adventurers, that were helping to protect the Port Town

From a distance, Gwen scryed on the enemy forces from the safety of Tidal, trying to discover and estimate how strong their forces were, how they were supplied, and key locations and threats, and once she had a good conception of what she was up against, she ascertained to take a more proximate look.

Utilizing her skills for Stealth, utilizing tricks such as Invisibility, Incorporeality, the odd distraction and the like, she furtively peregrinated into the enemy forces, she slipped by squads of mindless skeletons and zombies, though in her mind she called them by a more traditional name, Longdead and Souless, she felt those names more accurately described them… Gwen was willing to use morally questionable actions for the greater good, she never felt comfortable with most Undead, even the weakest ones relied on corrupting a small piece of the victim’s soul. She was much more careful when passing through Ixorad's living faithful as she slipped by them. Ascertaining key information on the enemy forces, and when the opportunity arose, subtly sabotaging siege equipment and supplies… ascertaining that once the assailment commences, the Necromancer’s forces will have a fun surprise! She made sure to keep a close eye for anything valuable that could be… ‘Misplaced’, be they magical weapons, powerful magical components, or the like, she ascertained to pinch them. Anything hazardous she ravaged, and anything serviceable she kept for later.

Once she felt gratified, she ascertained to pass all the information she learned to the forces of Meita to make full utilization of in the coming fight and wished them the best of fortuity and her benedictions. Thankfully her benedictions included anything utilizable she managed to prehend from the Necromancer’s forces that could be serviceable for the advocators, she mentally conceived the irony of having the enemy’s implements used against them was too regaling to pass up.

There is Such Potential in Mortal Life: Part 2[]

After Gwen Azureleaf had heard about the mission to take place, and the strange being that was in the distance, she realized her skills in stealth would be much more useful rather than fighting the hoards with the army. There were warriors and mages that were much better suited to handle the endless hordes that would surely be swarming the army live the waves on a battered shore.

While Gwen had the mundane skills to hide, she was also protected from sight thanks to her own inner Mythic power, along with some Akashic skills, and the power of her Rune carved into her Flesh, fueled by Heroic Fortune she was able to accomplish potent magical abilities. While nothing compared to a dedicated spell caster, it was an incredible amount of versatility for the Runesinger.

She prepared herself outside of the Ghostlands, forging around her the Robe of the Forgotten Deity, granting her darkness of Gods long since dead and lost… appropriate for such a cursed land such as this, her body transformed like the darkness of those formless beings. Unfortunately most foes had the ability to strike her now incorporeal form, but it still gave her increased defensive power and a cunning mobility when required. She cast upon her spells that she hoped would protect and hide herself from the cursed hordes, from a multitude of Aegis for protection, Motifs to bend fate in her favour, Mantles to coat her from the corrupted weather, and even a Fey Blessings, including that of the Pugwampi to bring misfortune to her foes and the Grace Of The Sidhe help dodge her foes as she ran

A secondary part of her mission was to see how the variety of magical effects would have on the likely now Hollow area, noting down if and how they are dispelled, if they managed to get corrupted or drained, she hoped she would be able to figure out *anything* that could counter this horrid form of magic, and know what to expect when facing anyone including the Fifth Horseman himself… she felt that countering this form of magic was part of the key to disrupt the power, or rather stolen power, of the Fifth Horseman, if she felt she had the chance.

Her chance soon arrived, taking a more diverted path towards her target, she heard the march of the dead, the normally loud thumps of an army on the march were added to the clacking of animated bones and the moans of the unliving. The travelers she learned the art of Runes called these beings the Longdead and the Soulless, more commonly known as skeletons and zombies. She was about to alert the forces arriving in the Ghostlands aware of them, but paused… she was on a task to test magic on these foes, and she did not want her allies facing an army to find much of their abilities hampered, using the technological device to make them aware she was going to go on the attack.

While she had prepared her Mantles to potentially protect against hostile weather, it was also to help enhance her in the magical weather she could herself summon. Whilst she gained an advantageous position, she enacted her plan. Over the army she summoned a large snowfall… unlike a true weather mage, it would take some time for it to gain it’s full intensity, however in addition to this, she had one other tool… her Radiance of Storms. Revealing her Radiance, she activated its most destructive power, within a five mile radius, the winds stirred rapidly, quickly forming into a massive hurricane force wind mirroring the storms above the Tidal Empire, blowing over much of the army and causing bones to be swept in the howling storm.

She knew that if the force included any powerful mages, or even anti mages, her storm could be disrupted. She hoped they would try, prepared to act when they attempted to counter her magic, pouncing to strike like a foul beast at her prey, leaping from an incredible distance and using a mythic speed to then instantly strike, jumping and striking the mages in the terrible storm she had made as they fell her blows, cat like strikes with her spiked gauntlets, one a gauntlet to strike like a shadow, and the other to prevent any escape.

After enough disruption she fled away from the scene, decimating as many forces before anyone too powerful arrived, hoping they would be chasing her rather than going after the main force. This time she sped towards the strange being detected, wondering what horror would appear, and hopefully be able to provide Anubis with the knowledge required to face whatever approached.

Dread Killer[]

After Gwen and her fellow adventurers provided their meals to the strange Dread Killer Rabbit, she was in awe with how much it ate… and how it wanted even more. She hoped to not be in it’s path when it was very hungry.

Hearing the rabbits plan for two teams, she felt she was better skilled in retrieval, using her roguish skills and abilities to attempt to retrieve the holy hand grenade… she wondered how holy it could be if it was possessed by a ‘Dread Killer Rabbit’

By now, Gwen was well experienced in infiltrating the Ghostlands, previously under the assault with Anubis, she hoped to use what she learned to sneak in and hope there was enough diversions from the other team

Focusing in the Akashic energy inside herself, she shaped it into darkness, a darkness known only fully by ancient and forgotten gods long lost and gone, her body coated and also formed now by the Robe of the Forgotten Deity, her body becoming more and more immaterial as she focused more, allowing herself to travel as a Ghost, quite appropriate for travel in the cursed land. Using her personal Rune of Luck and Mythic Power, she made herself favoured by fate, powerful Motifs guiding and enhancing her as she wove the strings of fate to her liking like a Norn, and made herself invisible to the world. It would be impossible for anyone normal to see her now, but she was prepared to escape if caught, either by teleportation or by jumping to a supernatural level, she made sure her combined Rod of Escape and Balance was ready to help get her out of a pickle, and to double her Dragoon Leap

She carefully entered the growing boundary of the Ghostlands, she quickly reached the ruins marked, finding it guarded by multitudes of monstrosities, of undead of tremendous power, Wights ready to drain her soul and Liches ready to animate what was left of her if she was not careful. Despite her precautions, she felt she was about to be spotted until a cacophony of lights as a field of powerful illusions formed from her allies, and that was only the beginning. Taking her chance she slipped through the near impenetrable defences, also taking the opportunity to take down lone enemies through the confusion, but never stopping for long as she hoped to be the first to reach the artifact and claim it!
