Backstory

Lakren is a Krashe adventure. Growing up in a typical Krashe settlement. Raised communally as is most of her kind. The settlement somewhat analogous as the aquatic equivalent of a barbarian encampment or a very rural village/settlement as nearly all Krashe settlements are. The village farming and herding in aquatic equivalents. Though most of their food coming from tribal-style group hunts and lone hunters bringing in small catches a day. Lakren has several siblings though which ones are biological and which ones are just communal is whos to say. Raised communally Lakren had many teachers and role models though the ones who interested her most were the hunters the loremaster, and the couple of people who were skilled at tattooing. Learning of her people past and the skills of hunting and fighting she took to them as if a natural. One of the hunters having visited the surface for a number of years having become enamored with archery and passing it on to Lakren as haphazard as it is underwater. Skilled in fishing with a net, and fighting with twin daggers, and supplemented by skills in archery that shined brightest when practiced on the shores of an island near their settlement.

In her later years in her home settlement, Lakren enamored with tails of past glories and legends headed off to explore a nearby set of ruins from the period of Aboleth rule over her people. While exploring she happened upon something dormant that had been long forgotten perhaps it was a weapon or suit of armor or simply an Aboleth experiment. Either way, Lakren found an aberrant creature and it bonded to her (symbiotic knight explanation).

Self-convinced that the creature she had found was a weapon used to fight against their oppressors during her people’s ancient rebellion against the Aboleths. Lakren a skilled and ambitious hunter sets out from her home with curiosity and wanderlust seeking to see what she can see and looking for the greatest of prey. though ever reminiscent of her people's history she keeps her ear to the currents for rumors of Aboleth or other evil aberrations activity hoping to foil it as her ancestors did and to find powerful items and companions that can aid against the ancient foes.

Description

Lakren is a 6'3" tall Krashe intersexed female. Her skin is damp/clammy her skin is covered in tribal and geometric tattoos. She has a few scars from training, hunting, and fighting. a burn from her first interaction with a large fire. Under the right conditions, her soft skin will glitter and glow faintly with the patterns of her natural markings/tattoos. Her eyes glow faintly highly reflective of light and have cuttlefish-like pupils. hair is made of tentacles complete with suckers. hands have small fine suckers on the palms/undersides of fingers. Strong body odor, fishy smell & saltwater. some say it smells like both others argue over whether its saltwater or fishy. doesn't see anything wrong with her scent, prefers other people's natural smells to perfumes and such. Lakren's shadow shows her aberrant armor's appearance and even when not wearing it with the tentacles swaying and moving on the shadow.

Lakren being like most aquatic races dresses sparsely. Wearing provocative skimpy clothing ie bikini type top and bottom, or bottom loin cloth.
