Personal Background[]

History pre-babel[]

Zirha is an Ifrit who was raised in the nightmarish plane of Sugarland. She got separated from her mother when she was only about four years old on the plane of fire and ended up there instead. As with many who learn to live there, she eventually learned to harness the sparkle energy and become a sparkle princess! It wouldn't be until much later in her life that she'd discover an ancient amulet with the symbol of Sarenrae on it, then be transformed into a magical girl! Now she happily travels the world, putting down, but rarely destroying, evil outsiders, slavers, and undead, but always tries to convince them to change their ways.

Personality[]

Zirha is nearly as devout of a follower of Sarenrae as an actual paladin, though as a sparkle princess, she has always maintained an odd mixture of childlike innocence, and unwavering cruelty to those who choose to turn away from the light of the Dawnflower. Despite her charisma, she's actually rather socially awkward as she has had very little contact with people who didn't want to kill her, or at least take advantage of her in some way.

Appearance[]

Before her mythic ascension, she looked like a mostly standard ifrit (pictured) but after she now has pink hair, pink eyes with heart pupils, her body is not dissimilar to a valkyries, though is slightly see thorough with a star like pattern. She also is capable of blending into most forms of light except pure daylight.

Companion(s)[]

Happy[]

Happy is Zirha's animal companion, a dire pitbull that she found in Sugarland, and raised since he was a pup. He's loyal to a fault, and will do anything to protect her, though just like her, he tries not to kill anything he doesn't have to. On his hind legs, he'd be about the same height as an average human, and is incredibly muscular, his fur blood red.

Striking the Behemoth[]

Part 1:[]

Zirha has just arrived in Babel after spending most of her life in the evil plane of Sugarland, but even so she managed to receive the message, and with the help of Lady Sarenrae, she deciphered the message and knew that this would be her first truly great act in this new life. After the horrors she was exposed to throughout her childhood, she knew no war could ever scar her more than she already was. In addition, slavery is completely unforgivable in her perspective, and any who would willingly engage in the act must be bathed in the Dawnflower’s warmth.

Zirha will arrive in Meita by foot, using her faster than average land speed and transformed state to get her there as rapidly as possible. Zirha will then instruct troops in the best ways to deal with an enemy without killing them, thus being able to bring them for interrogation, and to minimalize true losses on both sides, because there’s no point in unnecessary killing. She also constantly goes around, using her charisma and childish cuteness to keep all the troops in high spirits while waiting for the battle to truly begin. She leads prayers to redeem the armies of Behemoth, and those that may accidentally sin during battle, so that all may receive the warmth of the Everlasting Flame. She also allows the troops to play and train against her animal companion, Happy, who was rather cooperative despite normally being stuck to Zirha’s side, and more than willing to maul anyone that drew a blade within 10 feet of her.

To the delegate, Zirha explains “I am a warrior of Lady Sarenrae, The Dawnflower, The Everlasting Flame. I believe killing should never, ever, be the first option in combat. Kill only when you absolutely must, and then atone to the Great Lady. All life is sacred, and all can be redeemed. Even if an enemy can not be damaged by non-killing blows, there are always ways to incapacitate them, and that is what our army should strive to do. Prove that we are better than Behemoth by not killing. Prove that there are ways to handle disagreements, even when it comes to blades, without ending in needless bloodshed. No man truly wishes to kill another man and providing more and more options to not do so should be our primary goal.”

As she waited for the battle, Zirha would spend time in Meita, purchasing supplies, or offerings to the Dawnflower, whenever she could afford to, and used her extreme speed to tend to any who got sick or wounded by natural causes, after all, hiding in a forest with low fires still isn’t a healthy way to live. On occasion she would also spar with others to keep her skills sharpened, after all, she planned on being a primary fighter so that she could redeem as many enemies and convince them to change their ways, be it through intimidation tactics or diplomacy. As a fighter, Zirha would prove the value of speed, and the strength of both single heavy hitting attacks, as well as several lighter attacks, and when it was better to apply which option.

She would spend a bit of time also teaching various non-spherecasting magi spells, and when it was appropriate to just shocking grasp a creature, and when it was best to use some of their more control or buffing spells, as well as the value of not going all out on any one enemy, and waiting for the best time to show their aces off, as while she was not a magus herself, she was somewhat versed in their abilities, due to magical girls functioning in a somewhat similar way.
